When the letter Peh is placed at the end of a word it is given a different character and numerical value of 800.

A geometric star figure having five points. The pentagram is referred to as the "Star of the Microcosm" and to each arm is assigned an elemental energy.

A Greek word for "five-letter name." The Pentagrammaton refers to Hebrew YHShVH and YHVShH, Yeheshuah and Yehovashah, names ascribed to Jesus Christ. The unpronounceable Tetragrammaton, YHVH, becomes speakable with the addition of the letter Shin, further alluding to Christ as the Word of God, who was in the beginning.

The grade of Philosophus deals with the energies of fire, the sephirah Netzach, and the paths which flow downward from Netzach.

Latin for people, this geomantic figure corresponds to Cancer and Water and is rule by the Moon and Chashmodai. Its basic meaning is multitude, a gathering or assembly of people. Populus is a neutral figure, favorable with favorable figures and unfavorable with unfavorable ones.
Portal
The grade of spirit that belongs not to the First and Outer Order nor to the Second and Inner Order. This grade lies at the portal between the two orders, hence the name. The Portal grade is also referred to as the Second Degree, whereas the Outer Order is the First Degree and the Inner Order the Third Degree.

Practicus
The fourth grade of the Golden Dawn, wherein the theory taught in the grade of Theoricus is now put into practical use, hence its name. In the Practicus grade (3)=[8] the the initiate learns the skills to master the energies of water, which are primarily emotional in nature. The grade is further related to the sephirah of Hod and the paths which flow downward from Hod.
 
Praemonstrator
Latin for "one who prophesies." This is one of the three governing offices of a temple. The Praemonstrator is responsible for administering proper magical instruction and teaching, both in manuscript and mouth to ear. This office is also attributed to the Egyptian Godform of Isis.
 
Praemonstratrix
Feminine form of Praemonstrator.

Greek name meaning "Thou who art the First and the Last," this is one of the three divine names that surround the Triangle of Art.

Tattwa associated with the element of earth. Its image is one of a yellow square.
